Requests for a tax certificate, duplicate copies of a tax bill and other tax information may be subject to certain user fees. For details see the Treasury Fees Page.

The Treasury Department is responsible for the development and implementation of financial control for all operations within the Township of Rideau Lakes in accordance with the form required by law and accounting standards. Thus, the Treasury Department:

  • prepares and compiles annual departmental budgets in conjunction with Department Heads;
  • develops policies to improve overall operation of data management;
  • calculates and generates annual property taxes; and
  • ensures the timely payment of all accounts payable and the issuance of invoices.

Asset Management Plan
At a special meeting of Council on December 12, 2013, Council approved an Asset Management Plan for the long-term maintenance of the Township's roads and bridges. The plan will assist staff and Council in making future decisions regarding the Township's infrastructure. It will be reviewed by Council and updated on a yearly basis.
